BBlackCards

BlackCards for salons and barbershops

Salon loyalty, with clear rules for every service

Give clients a card bearing your salon’s name, saved in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Choose stamps, points or membership with stated benefits, and make earning clear to reception staff and clients after the service.

Define what earns before launching the program

Booking, completing a service and paying a bill are different events. Agree eligibility and how staff verify it; a booking system’s “completed” status alone may not prove payment. This table is a sample salon policy, not a claim that the scanner reads appointments or receipt items.

SituationRule to defineStaff verification
A completed, paid serviceDefine eligible services and whether earning is per qualifying visit or eligible spending in a points program.Service completion, required payment, the correct card, and discounts or extras affecting the amount staff enter.
A booking or depositIf earning requires a completed, paid service, do not award just for booking or paying a deposit. Explain how advance payments are treated.Later service completion and settlement, without awarding the deposit separately and counting it again in the total.
A prepaid package sessionDecide whether earning happens when buying the package or using its sessions, with a consistent amount or visit rule that avoids duplication. The package and used session in salon records. A loyalty card is not automatically a register of remaining prepaid sessions.
Products bought with a serviceDefine whether retail products qualify and how offers, discounts and complimentary services are treated.Eligible spending or service from the bill; the scanner does not automatically separate retail items from service charges.

A clear routine for reception staff

  1. 1

    Explain the card and reward

Explain earning, redemption and participating branches. Clients follow registration, then their card link and available Wallet option. The public enrolment QR differs from the client’s card code used for loyalty transactions.

  2. 2

    Verify service and payment

Check what was completed, what is due and what was paid. Match the card to the eligible person; someone may pay for another client or for a group. Payment method alone does not identify who earns.

  3. 3

    Award, then check the result

For stamps, staff award the program’s configured amount. For points, they enter qualifying spending and confirm the configured rate. Check success before retrying; multiple services in one appointment do not automatically mean multiple awards.

  4. 4

Coordinate the reward and record redemption

Check eligibility, terms and staff availability, then record redemption and provide the reward after success. A loyalty transaction does not reserve a chair or staff member or change appointment length; coordinate those in your booking records.

Agree special cases before the busy hours

Give reception and service staff a short procedure, with an authorized person responsible for reviewing corrections.

The payer is not the service recipient

Define who earns when someone pays for family or a group. Do not credit the full bill to every card. If you allocate eligibility, document each client’s share without counting spending twice.

Rescheduling or a missed appointment

If earning requires a completed service, rescheduling or a booking does not establish eligibility. Review it when service happens; the scanner does not track appointment status or apply your deposit policy automatically.

Service changes or refunds

Review eligibility before awarding where possible. For later refunds, review the loyalty record and refer a permitted, documented correction to an authorized person. Refunding a salon payment does not automatically reverse loyalty.

A reward needs time or includes extras

Define the service, size, included extras, fulfilment time and published exclusions. Do not promise a full service when the reward is one specified extra. Also decide whether a complimentary service earns new credit.

Choose rewards around the service and its cost

Start with a model staff can explain and operate. A short repeat service differs from a lengthy service or retail purchase; review staff time, materials and capacity before announcing the reward.

Stamps for a defined service or visit

Consider services of similar value and effort. Define qualifying visits, stamp awards and treatment of several services at one appointment. Stamps use program settings, not an automatic bill-amount calculation.

Points for varied eligible spending

Define the rate, qualifying amount after discounts and redemption rule. Staff enter eligible spending; fractional points round down. Separating products, services and prepaid packages needs a clear rule and staff review.

Membership with stated benefits

Define the level, duration, benefits and staff verification. Confirm setup before advertising; membership does not establish automatic priority booking, spend-based upgrades, paid renewal or prepaid session credit.

Choose a plan around your staff and branches

Prices shown are billed annually in Saudi riyals. Identify branches, staff and program type, then review current limits. If booking or payment integration is essential, share the system and required data exchange to confirm availability before choosing.

Review current plans

Start with one clear service and a prepared team

We target salons and barbershops across the six GCC markets. Share your country, branches and staff needs to confirm plan availability, billing, support and setup before launch.

  • Saudi Arabia
  • UAE
  • Kuwait
  • Qatar
  • Bahrain
  • Oman
  • Define eligible services and evidence of completion and payment; rehearse awards, redemption and correction with reception staff.
  • Choose a pilot branch and confirm authorized branches within the program and organization, staff permissions and plan limits.
  • Test card saving on actual devices, distinguishing registration from a verified Wallet installation.
  • Set a follow-up period suited to the service and available records; do not assume every service needs another appointment after the same number of days.

Make loyalty messages clear and appropriate

Use reward or program messages within available permissions and settings. Loyalty messaging is separate from confirming or changing an appointment; verify any booking integration before relying on it.

  • Use general wording such as “Check your available reward and its terms.” Keep health details and private service information out of a message that could appear on a phone screen.
  • Review recipients, language, timing and offer validity, and verify consent and the available way to stop messages.
  • Sending or updating a card does not prove a message was read or an appointment booked. Alert display depends on the Wallet, device and settings.
  • Measure returns against a later eligible service with a verified date. Stamps and link clicks alone do not establish completed appointments or additional revenue.

Questions from salon and barbershop owners

Does the client need a salon-specific app?
No separate salon app is needed. Clients save through the card link and the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet option available on a compatible device. Steps depend on the device and Wallet link. [1] [2]
Does the loyalty card manage appointments?
The card displays the loyalty program and staff perform its transactions. It does not establish appointment scheduling, staff booking or service-duration changes. Share your booking system and integration requirements to confirm availability first.
Do deposits or prepaid session packages earn credit?
Define when eligibility occurs and how it is verified, without counting payment at purchase and again at use. Staff check salon records; the scanner does not automatically manage appointment deposits or remaining sessions.
Who earns when one person pays for another?
Define the eligible person in your policy and match their card before awarding. Paying for someone else does not by itself decide who earns, and the full bill should not be credited to every group member.
Do several services in one appointment earn several stamps?
Follow your published rule and configured award. If earning is per qualifying visit, do not multiply it simply because several services were provided. The scanner does not read service lists or detect appointment counts.
Can clients use the card at different branches?
Within the program, organization and authorized branches, subject to permissions, plan and setup. Confirm earning and redemption scope first; independent salons or brands are not automatically included.
Does a loyalty message confirm an appointment?
No. It communicates the program or reward stated in its content and does not create a booking. Sending also does not prove the client read it; review Wallet/device permissions and available delivery evidence.
How can we measure client returns after launch?
Define a cohort of clients with a first qualifying service and a fixed follow-up window. Once every client has completed that window, divide those with a later qualifying service by everyone in the cohort, using one consistent visit definition. Separate signups and loyalty transactions from delivered services, and review reward costs. This descriptive comparison does not prove the program caused more bookings.

Guides for preparing your program

See your salon’s card, then prepare how it will work

Choose the salon or barbershop theme in the demo and add your business name. The demo shows the card and its journey; bring your eligible services, reward and branches to discuss your program setup.
